Deformation Lenses in a Bonding Zone of High-Alloyed Steel Laminates Manufactured by Cold Roll Bonding

چکیده

The combination of strength transformation-induced plasticity (TRIP) steel and ductility twinning-induced (TWIP) can be achieved by manufacturing laminated composites via cold roll bonding (CRB). Work hardening the surface before CRB produces deformation lenses (DLs), which play significant role in bonding, but are reported rarely literature. present work aimed to study DLs at interface composite made high-alloy TRIP TWIP steels manufactured CRB. interfaces were investigated means scanning transmission electron microscopy, roughness measurement, tensile peel tests. Laminates showed ultimate up 900 MPa elongation 45% maintaining layer’s integrity failure. TWIP–TWIP has shown higher maximum (up 195 N/cm) than that a TRIP–TWIP 130 N/cm), was found direct proportion overall area DLs. Bonding laminate layers occur between DL fragments.

Investigation of the mechanical properties of cold roll welded Brass and IF steelproduced by cold roll bonding process

Cold roll bonding (CRB) is a solid state welding process, where the bonding is established by compressive plastic deformation of the metals. This process is applicable for a large number of materials. In addition, materials that cannot be bonded by traditional fusion-based processesmight be bonded by CRB process. In this research, cold roll welding of brass and IF steel was studied .The effects...

Progress in cold roll bonding of metals.

Layered composite materials have become an increasingly interesting topic in industrial development. Cold roll bonding (CRB), as a solid phase method of bonding same or different metals by rolling at room temperature, has been widely used in manufacturing large layered composite sheets and foils. In this paper, we provide a brief overview of a technology using layered composite materials produc...

Accumulative Roll Bonding of Aluminum/Stainless Steel Sheets

An Al/Stainless Steel/Al lamellar composite was produced by roll bonding of the starting sheets at 400 °C. Afterward, the roll bonded sheet was cut in half and the accumulative roll bonding (ARB) process at room temperature was applied seven times. As a result, the central steel layer fractured and distributed in the Al matrix among different layers introduced by the repetition of roll bonding ...

Ten years of severe plastic deformation (SPD) in Iran, part II: accumulative roll bonding (ARB)

The present paper is the second part of a previously published overview entitled “ten years of severe plastic deformation (SPD) in Iran”. Part I concentrates on the equal channel angular pressing (ECAP). In this part, the focus is on the accumulative roll bonding (ARB) because, currently, Iran is ranked the first in the world by the total number of publications in this field. In the present sec...
